About Shubha Deep Roy, MD, FACC, FASE, FSCAI

Dr. Shubha Deep Roy grew up in India and attended a top medical school there. He then served in the Indian Army as a physician and decorated medical officer for seven years. Thereafter, he came to the United States to advance his training — where he completed seven additional years of training at The University of Missouri – Kansas City and The University of Iowa.

Dr. Roy joined The Iowa Clinic because he shares the same philosophy to improve the health of patients through collaborative care, compassion and relationship-building. Dr. Roy chose interventional cardiology because it is rewarding to save lives and offer pain relief to patients suffering from an acute heart attack. He also enjoys the opportunity to have impactful relationships with his patients and their families with a goal to improve their heart health.

Dr. Roy is grateful for his parents and wife, who have made countless sacrifices to constantly support him throughout his journey. If they had to describe him in three words, it would be kind, helpful and friendly.
