About Monica Peterson, DO
Monica Peterson, DO joined The Iowa Clinic in 2024 with over 20 years of experience in the medical field. She chose TIC because of the physician-owned structure and the commitment to exceptional collaborative patient care. After practicing Family Medicine in outpatient, inpatient, and ER settings, Dr. Peterson is excited to transition to Urgent Care, where she can continue providing comprehensive care while collaborating with patients’ primary care physicians.
A small-town Iowa native, Dr. Peterson now enjoys country living with her significant other, 4 horses, a donkey, a draft mule, and three dogs. Outside of work, she enjoys trail riding, motorcycle trips for ice cream, and cozying up with a good book or a Hallmark Christmas movie. If not practicing medicine, she could see herself teaching biology or physiology at a community college.
