About Pil (Peter) Kang, MD, MBA, DABR

Pil (Peter) Kang, MD, MBA joined The Iowa Clinic to be part of a physician owned organization, where everyone’s part of a team. Previously he worked for a small practice in Southeast Iowa for nearly ten years and is excited for his family (and himself) to be involved in everything that Des Moines has to offer.

As a visual person, Dr. Kang was intrigued by Medical Imaging during Medical School. He especially likes that every specialty has a unique need for imaging and enjoys providing answers to questions from other providers and their patients.

Dr. Kang was born in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to the US when he was 10. He is a veteran and is passionate about veterans’ affairs. He is also a self-proclaimed big nerd, and his favorite TV show is Star Trek. He and his wife, Bonnie, have three children and like to spend time together as a family. In his free time, Dr. Kang enjoys tinkering with technology, modifying his car, and building computers.
