What is laser hair removal?
One of the most common cosmetic procedures, laser hair removal uses concentrated beams of light to destroy your hair at the follicle and inhibit future hair growth.
Laser hair removal offers more precision than waxing or shaving and is a more permanent solution to unwanted body hair. After several treatments, you may have permanent hair loss in your problem areas. The number of treatments required will vary to achieve your desired level of reduction. These factors include skin and hair color, hair thickness, and hormone levels.
Why should one consider laser hair removal?
Many people consider hair removal given individual preferences and circumstances. These may include aesthetics or personal appearance, personal hygiene due to sweat and bacteria that accumulates on hair, cultural or religious reasons, or medical reasons such as hirsutism, excessive hair growth or ingrown hairs that cause infection.
What are my treatment options for laser hair removal?

Note that you must be out of direct sunlight for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment. It is important to avoid the sun and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen before and after laser hair removal to minimize your risk of skin damage and to achieve optimal results.
What are potential risks and side effects of laser hair removal?
Hair removal can come with minimal side effects depending on the method used. These may include skin irritation (redness, itching or inflammation), ingrown hairs, skin discoloration, infection or burns and blisters.
