Diagnostic Radiology

When your provider needs to see what’s happening inside your body, they may recommend imaging within diagnostic radiology. This includes more common X-rays, as well as “moving X-rays” known as fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and specialized scans like CT and MRI to get a closer, more detailed look at your joints, bones, ligaments, organs and other tissues.

Breast Health

Keeping a close eye on your breast health is important at any age, but especially for women age 30 and older. At The Iowa Clinic, our multi-specialty approach means your provider team seamlessly accesses the same information to monitor, consult and recommend the best treatment options for you.

From breast ultrasound to 3D mammography to specialty imaging techniques, trust your team to be with you every step of the way during your preventive and diagnostic breast imaging needs

Make your screening mammogram appointment online today. Or, call to schedule your diagnostic mammogram. No physician referral is needed for women over the age of 40.

Nuclear Medicine

To get a more detailed picture of certain areas of your body, your provider may recommend nuclear imaging. A small amount of radioactive “tracer” is either injected or swallowed to examine a specific organ and how it functions.

Nuclear imaging, like PET scans or CT scans, may be used to identify or diagnose issues with your kidneys, thyroid, brain, bones, breasts or heart, including tumors and other other infectious diseases.
