Since 2014, The Iowa Clinic has participated in Wellmark's Accountable Care Organization (ACO). The purpose of an ACO is to provide high quality, coordinated care for patients that results in lower overall costs and an improved patient experience.
The Iowa Clinic consistently ranks in the top 3 performers in quality and value as determined by Wellmark’s 3M Value Index Score (VIS). There are 16 other participating ACO organizations, including many of the state’s largest systems and clinics.
